I already know about the data plan that is required to purchase a T-Mobile G1 but what about the voice plan?

Is it possible to change it? I remember buying a Sidekick 2 a long time ago and they required I purchased it with a certain voice plan even though I didn’t need one but they let me change it.

Is it possible to do the same with the G1? Get rid of the voice plan and just stick with the date plan?

I have verizon wireless, and i want to keep it for voice plan, but I want the G1 for all of it’s internet and google stuff, without paying for a voice plan. This is really important to me. I might die if I don’t get the G1, but my life is not worth paying 55 a month for a plan.

I am over my 2 year contract and I can upgrade to the t-mobile g1 for $179. My question is if I can upgrade to the G1 without purchasing the $25 or $35 plans. Would I be able to just upgrade for the phone and not add anything to my contract?
