As a bonafide BlackBerry fanatic, I am taking protection of my BlackBerry very seriously. In fact , what would you do if you dropped your device ( a standard and inevitible event ) only to pick it up and find that it no longer works. Like many BlackBerry users, I’ve been in that situation and felt the dread of being without my BlackBerry that I so rely on waiting for a replacement.

So, I have created a short list of features that you should search for when looking for the right protecting case for your BlackBerry. Before we’re able to the “BlackBerry Case Checklist”, you need to first consider your approach to life to determine what kind of case ( s ) you want. Different circumstances need various levels of protection.

For instance, an active person that spends lots of time outdoors ( hiking, skiing, sports, ect. ) will need a durable, multi-layer case that provides “heavy-duty” protection. On the other hand, a business pro may need a case that provides good protection, but also maintains a low-profile and is inconspicuous in design. Styling of the case is a matter of user preference, but in the end the protecting qualities and usability of the case should be the deciding factor. Most users will need a different case to accommodate different circumstances.

And…don’t forget screen protection. Most premium cases will include screen protection of some sort but some don’t. Check the product outlines ; if they don’t mention that screen protection is included then is maybe isn’t. Screen protection is cheap and there’s little worse than assuming the BlackBerry prayer position and noticing a ugly scratch across you screen. And now the list.

Consider the Following When Selecting a BlackBerry Case

1. Is the case compatible with my BlackBerry? ( glaringly a major element )
2. Does the case defend against severe impacts or simply little bumps? ( military grade or light-duty interprets to chunky or low-profile )
3. Does the case permit complete access to my BlackBerry features and controls? ( a gimme on any premium case )
4. Is the case comfy? ( for grip and ergonomics while typing )
5. Does the case fit snugly over my BlackBerry? ( to prevent “under the case” damage )
6. Does the case boost appearance or is it inconspicuous in design? ( user preference )
7. Does the case include screen protection? ( a screen protector is a total must )

As explained above, many users will need a variety of case designs to suit their particular lifestyle and habits. If you consider the points highlighted in this list, you could have no problem finding the right case to keep your beloved BlackBerry safe and sound.
