Is The Motorola Droid X The Top Phone In The Industry

Motorola is a firm famous for creating cutting edge products in the telecomunication industry. Latterly they have partnered up with the cell phone company Verizon Wireless to form another up to the minute gizmo. This cool device is a new smart phone called the Droid X. But can we say that this new cell-phone is better then its rivals? Lets find out .

The Droid X runs on an operational system called the Android 2.1 and is soon going to get an update to the more amazing Android 2.2. It’s got a 4.3 in. HD screen and an 8MP camera which blow the contest out. It also has an OMAP 3630 1GHz central processing unit built by Texas Instruments which permits it to be the sole cellphone wich supports true multitasking and also makes it twice as speedily as the other similar Smart Telephones e. G the Apple iPhone 4G, HTC Evo, and others. Though the Motorola Droid has 8GB of internal storage, which is comparible to others, it has also got a MicroSD card slot which supports a MicroSD memory stick with up to 32GB of memory. Therefore you may have up to 40 GB of storage on your Droid X which is alot more than what others have to offer.

Lets take a look at some of the features of Droid’s competitors most notably, the iPhone 4G, HTC EVO and the Samsung Galaxy S. The iPhone 4G has a 3.9 inch screen, smaller than the Droid X. But , it does have really good resolution and a better battery charge lifespan then the Droid X. The HTC Evo comes with a 4.3 in. display, but the resolution isn’t as good and it only offers 8GB of memory. The Samsung Galaxy S also has a 4.0 in. display, but only 480×800 resolution. However its very light and offers up to 16GB of internal and 2GB of additional memory.

But the most important difference is that none of the telephones, not named Droid x, have multitasking which is reasonably handy as it enables you to use multiple apps at the same time making the Droid almost seem like a small version of your laptop. And while the iPhone could have more apps for it now, the Android market is growing quite speedily and should catch up to it also. From all this you can see that the Droid is better then its competitors.

Nevertheless if you already have one of the other smart phones detailed here, don’t get upset and try changing your telephone to the Droid X because although you might not have the absolute best iPhone, you continue to have a highly good telephone that’s close to it.
